Make a Difference

It’s easy to make a difference in the lives of Tanzanian families and children.

Hospital Care - In Tanzania food and basic care must be provided by the patient’s family or caretaker. 1 week care and food for a hospitalized HIV positive orphan - $150.

Orphan Activity Program - Each Saturday 30-60 orphans gather at WAMATA for games, snacks, and camaraderie designed to break down the isolation they feel.  Part of the morning is spent in supportive groups as well as recieving HIV/AIDS education.  One month’s support for the Orphan Activity Program - $125.

School Supplies - There are many orphans for whom we do not have sponsors, but to whom we still provide notebooks, pens, and other school supplies. School Supplies for 20 Orphans - $100.

Micro-loan - A micro-loan can be the first step to raising an entire Tanzanian family out of poverty. Micro-loan to a First Time Borrower - $100.

Shoes - Every Tanzanian schoolchild must wear a pair of sturdy black oxfords. School Shoes for 3 orphans - $60.

Community Health Worker - Our trained community health workers travel by foot to provide care, medical monitoring, and education to AIDS patients living in their communities. One month salary for a community health worker - $50.
